Applying for a cure – the right way to a cure
As a result of the Federal Government’s decision in June 2021, the outpatient spa treatment was once again included as a mandatory benefit in the health insurance catalogue of measures. This means that every insured person now has a statutory entitlement to the outpatient preventive benefit in accordance with Section 23 (2) SGB V at a recognised health resort.
The ORIGINAL KNEIPP CURE is a recognised medical therapy for which a minimum duration of 2-3 weeks is generally recommended. Talk to your family doctor about which type of cure and duration is best for you.
The steps to an outpatient Kneipp cure
Obtain application forms from the health insurance company.
Have it completed by your family doctor, choose the spa town (Bad Wörishofen) and submit it to the health insurance company. If necessary, the health insurance company will obtain an opinion from the medical service.
You can also apply for a cure online:
If you receive a rejection notice from your health insurance company, you should submit a written objection immediately. We would also ask you to contact us in the event of a rejection.
